Story
One strange night, something unusual happened in the jungle.
It was very, very quiet.
Too quiet.
Milu the deer looked around nervously.
“Have you noticed something?” she asked.
Bobo the monkey whispered, “Yes… Sheru hasn’t roared today.”
That was true.
Every morning and every night, Sheru the Lion roared, and the whole jungle knew their king was there, protecting everyone.
But today… there was no roar.
The jungle felt different. Smaller. Scary.
“I don’t like this,” said Chintu the mouse.
“Something is wrong.”
So the friends went to Sheru’s cave. Inside, they found Sheru lying quietly.
“Sheru! Why didn’t you roar today?”
Milu asked softly.
Sheru looked a little sad.
“My throat hurts,” he said.
“I tried to roar, but I couldn’t. And if I can’t roar… maybe I’m not a good king anymore.”
All the animals looked at each other.
Then Chintu walked forward and stood right in front of Sheru.
“That’s not true,” he said.
“A king is not someone who roars loud. A king is someone who protects his friends.”
Then Raju the elephant lifted his trunk and made a loud TRUMPET SOUND.
Bobo jumped on a tree and shouted,
“Sheru is our king!”
Milu stomped the ground loudly.
Even Ullu the owl hooted from above.
Soon, all the animals in the jungle started making sounds together. The jungle was loud again — louder than ever before.
Sheru looked around and smiled.
That night, the jungle did not hear Sheru’s roar.
But for the first time, they heard the roar of friendship.
The Lesson
A true leader is not the loudest one.
A true leader is the one who is never alone. 🦁🌙🌳
